Director of Customer Onboarding

Location: Remote, USA (EST hours preferred)

Wealthbox, a maker of CRM software for financial advisors, is looking for a Director of Customer Onboarding to lead our onboarding and data migration team in the small-to-medium sized advisory business segment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills. You will lead a team responsible for ensuring a seamless and efficient transition for our customers, guiding them through the onboarding process, and overseeing the migration of their data onto our platform.


Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive onboarding and data migration strategy aligned with the company’s goals and customer success objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate onboarding processes seamlessly within the broader customer journey.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a high-performing team of onboarding specialists and data migration experts.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance for team members.

Customer Onboarding:

  • Design and optimize customer onboarding processes to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their unique needs and tailor onboarding plans accordingly.

Data Migration:

  • Oversee the migration of customer data onto our platform, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data migration processes.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor and analyze onboarding and data migration metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement feedback loops and iterate on processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.


  • Collaborate with sales, customer success, support, product, and engineering teams to ensure a unified and customer-centric approach.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to address any challenges and facilitate communication.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing customer onboarding and data migration at a SaaS company. CRM software experience is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS products, cloud technologies, and data management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.


Work Schedule

  • Weekdays, during business hours.
  • No travel required.
