Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Remote, USA (EST hours preferred)

Wealthbox, a maker of CRM software for financial advisors, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. As a Senior Financial Analyst at Wealthbox, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights, optimize financial performance, and help drive the Company through its next growth phase.


Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

  • Lead the development, consolidation, and analysis of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports, variance analyses, and performance metrics to senior management.

Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with department heads and business leaders to understand key drivers, trends, and opportunities impacting financial performance.
  • Offer proactive financial guidance to support strategic decision-making and achieve business objectives.

Financial Modeling:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investment opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various factors on financial outcomes.

KPI Monitoring:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational and financial performance.
  • Work closely with operational teams to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.

Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Prepare insightful financial reports and dashboards for executive leadership, highlighting key trends and performance metrics.
  • Provide regular updates on financial performance against budget and forecast, offering recommendations for improvement.

Cost Management:

  • Partner with departments to analyze and manage costs effectively, identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising performance.

Financial Systems Automation:

  • Work with finance and operations teams to implement automated procedures to enhance efficiency, internal controls, and financial reporting.

Ad Hoc Analysis:

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support special projects, investment decisions, and other strategic initiatives.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced finance degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Stripe and Quickbooks is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proactive with a willingness to dive into details.


Work Schedule

  • Weekdays, during business hours.
  • No travel is required.
