UI/UX Designer

Location: Remote, EST Preferred

At Wealthbox, we serve thousands of financial advisors with our modern CRM software, which provides an easy way to manage client relationships, organize and execute workflow processes, and collaborate with a team in a powerful and beautiful software solution. 

 

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer with strong Front-End skills in our Engineering department, reporting to our Head of Design. This role is responsible for working closely with the heads of product, design and engineering to research, design and implement various product initiatives. You’ll be part of a team that’s focused on delivering product features and updates that deliver value directly to Wealthbox end-users.. 

 

A typical day might include flowcharting a UX improvement, designing and speccing a new reusable component, mocking up and then implementing a new feature of the web/mobile app, or updating our internal design system/component library. The UI/UX Designer will work directly with the Wealthbox internal teams and will be instrumental in the success of Wealthbox products and related initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design novel UI/UX based on written product pitches 
  • Collaborate with the product, design and engineering teams to deliver a best-in-class software product
  • Partner with agency stakeholders to ensure that the visual language aligns with our design standards
  • Build and edit React web-app components
  • Contribute to our internal design system and component library as well as help keep our internal documentation up to date
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends to keep Wealthbox’s design language current and innovative

 

Desired skills and experience

  • 3-5 years of design/development experience
  • Expertise in at least one design application (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.)
  • Strong front-end development skills (React, Angular, Vue, JS, etc.) 
  • Back-end development knowledge is a plus
  • Focus on writing clear, maintainable, tested code
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills and a strong ability to contribute to the team
  • Excited to work in a high-energy, collaborative, high-growth environment

 

Work Schedule

  • Weekdays, during business hours
  • No travel required
