We’re seeking a Sr. Director of Strategic Partnerships to expand our footprint across the wealth management ecosystem. This role is the strategic connective tissue between Wealthbox and the partners, platforms, and distribution channels that matter most in our market.
As the Sr. Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will build institutional relationships, unlock new distribution channels and create the partnerships that accelerate Wealthbox’s growth across all segments. This important role reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Market Development
- Establish and deepen relationships with independent broker-dealers, custodians, RIA aggregators, OSJs, and institutions at the corporate and home office level
- Cultivate relationships with influential wealth management technology consultants who shape buying decisions across the industry
- Identify and pursue new channel partnership opportunities that expand Wealthbox’s distribution footprint
Approval & Compliance Readiness
- Navigate due diligence reviews, technology vetting, and approved vendor list applications to get Wealthbox formally approved within partner ecosystems
- Proactively address AI compliance readiness and work with Product to ensure Wealthbox meets evolving FINRA and institutional requirements
- Flag compliance gaps, feature requirements, and institutional needs back to Product to drive approval readiness
Partner Go-To-Market Execution
- Build joint go-to-market playbooks with key partners – co-marketing, co-selling, and co-branded campaigns
- Equip technology consulting teams at BDs, custodians, and aggregators with the knowledge and materials to recommend Wealthbox
- Design and manage structured referral and incentive programs with key partners
- Own partner-sourced pipeline reporting and accountability
Industry Presence & Intelligence
- Manage Wealthbox’s strategic presence at key industry conferences, with a clear meeting strategy and follow-up pipeline process
- Deliver structured market intelligence – competitive insights, partner feedback, and industry trends – to Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership
What You Bring
- Deep wealth management industry knowledge and an existing network across BDs, custodians, RIA aggregators, and/or consultants
- Experience with wealth-tech SaaS and AI solutions
- Proven track record of building institutional-level partnerships, not just closing transactional deals
- Strong executive presence – comfortable in rooms with C-suite decision-makers at large financial institutions
- Experience navigating BD/custodian approval processes, compliance due diligence, or technology vetting in financial services
- Strategic thinker who can design partnership frameworks, co-sell motions, and approval strategies
- Highly organized and accountable – maintains CRM activity, owns a pipeline number, and reports on outcomes with discipline
- Collaborative operator who works seamlessly across Sales, Marketing, and Product
- Conference circuit credibility and established industry event presence preferred
Work Schedule
- Weekdays, during business hours.
- Occasional travel to industry conferences and partner offices
