Rianka Dorsainvil, a CFP® professional, has an impressive list of industry awards and achievements in the financial planning space, including recognition for promoting diversity. Acclaimed for her leadership as a “Rising Star” by InvestmentNews, the founder and president of advisory firm Your Greatest Contribution (YGC) and producer of 2050 Trailblazers is also pioneering a new business model for modern financial advisors: delivering financial advice virtually.
Based in the suburbs of Washington DC, Rianka works with her remote YGC staff in Florida and Colorado, who in turn collaborate with the firm’s clients across the country on a virtual basis, using various technology tools.
At the hub of operating virtually with remote staff and dispersed clients is YGC’s CRM system: Wealthbox. We asked Rianka about her team’s usage of Wealthbox and which functionality is most helpful to them while working remotely.
YGC’s Favorite Features in Wealthbox
“We love the Wealthbox interface, because it’s so intuitive and easy to use, and everyone stays in the loop on client activity.”
“Wealthbox’s activity stream on the dashboard is like a private social network for my remote team to easily communicate and collaborate,” says Rianka. “We love the Wealthbox interface, because it’s so intuitive and easy to use, and everyone stays in the loop on client activity.”
Rianka creates categories within the tasks feature to help visually organize projects for her team at YGC. “The task layout is so clean and intuitive,” she says. “And we’re constantly using the commenting feature in Wealthbox to discuss each others’ task activities to make sure nothing falls through the cracks for our clients.”
When coworkers are remote and clients are managed with virtual technology tools, an advisory firm needs to be super organized. Rianka and her staff at YGC use the automated workflows feature in Wealthbox it to keep track of paperwork in process of completion and onboarding clients. Says Rianka, “Repeatable processes in any financial planning firm need automation, and the Wealthbox workflows are a breeze to use.”
“Staying updated on social media in Wealthbox allows me to add a personal approach to my work with my clients, beyond just numbers.”
Rianka explains that most of YGC’s clients are younger HENRY-types [High Earners Not Rich Yet] and they’ll all out there with presences on social media. With Wealthbox’s “social profile finder” feature turned on, new contact records can automatically display clients’ and prospects’ public social profiles. And Wealthbox can even integrate with Twitter, so a user’s Twitter feed streams inside a tabbed section in Wealthbox. “Monitoring the social media activity of clients and prospects in Wealthbox allows me to add a personal approach to my work with them, beyond just numbers,” says Rianka.
